The Busways Shell Consortium is a partnership established between Shell Singapore Pte Ltd and Busways Pte Ltd, a Singaporean electrical and mechanical engineering company. The Consortium believes that combining Busways' local engineering expertise and Shell's global experience in deploying mobility charging solutions at scale is essential for creating reliable and sustainable solutions for electrification in Singapore.

Shell, is a global energy company, present in Singapore for more than 130 years, with an extensive business footprint ranging from Mobility, Aviation, Specialties, Trading & Shipping, and Petrochemicals. Globally Shell is at the forefront of deploying EV charging, with 144,000 charge points across 28 countries. In Singapore, half of Shell’s retail stations have Electric Vehicle fast charging facilities. Currently, Shell is significantly expanding its charging network to deploy ~5000 chargers across HDB carparks.

Busways is an established homegrown electrical and mechanical engineering company with high competency and an extensive portfolio in electrical power engineering works, including industrial, commercial, semi-conductor, data center projects. Busways Shell Consortium powering progress in Singapore together
In 2023, LTA awarded the Busways Shell Consortium the tender to deploy 480 high-powered (up to 360kW) charging dispensers at the bus depots located at Sengkang West and East Coast starting from December 2024, to support the Land Transport Authority’s (LTA) plan for a large-scale deployment of electric buses. The chargers are equipped with smart charging functions to optimise charging speed and efficiency, with real-time monitoring, control and diagnostic capabilities. (Click here) to read more.
