Shell voted 2015 most attractive energy industry employer in Asia
Shell has been voted most attractive energy industry employer in Asia Pacific region by engineering and IT students in the 2015 Universum Talent Survey.
The 2015 rankings of the Most Attractive Employers in APAC is based on a survey of over 165,000 students from the top universities across ten of Asia’s largest economies, and reveal which employers have the most effective employer brands. More than 1.3 million students were involved in this study worldwide in 2015.
‘We’re delighted to see that for the second year running Engineering and IT students have ranked Shell the most attractive energy industry employer in APAC,’ said Daniel Zhang, Shell Regional Recruitment Manager - Asia Pacific and Middle East, who started his career in Shell’s Graduate Programme. ‘Among the things we know they value is our emphasis on creating a great place to work, teamed with a graduate programme that develops leadership qualities, is at the forefront of innovation and challenges our graduates to make an impact from day one.’
What are students looking for in a future employer?
Universum’s research shows that APAC Millennials are seeking environments where they can feel happy, engaged and valued. They want to work in a place that’s creative, dynamic and, importantly, friendly.
With Shell’s dedication to meaningful innovation and emphasis on a creative, collaborative culture it’s clear why students have ranked Shell highly in this survey, said Daniel Zhang.
‘Shell’s workplace design links our remarkable people with an empowering environment and the best technology. Shell’s workplace culture supports flexibility by linking people, place and technology,’ explained Daniel.
Students are also attracted by Shell’s structured and challenging Graduate Programme and Advanced Technical Programme combined with leadership coaching and a supportive network, he added.
